By accessing or using the AnotherStory Birmingham website and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
AnotherStory provides a second-story home addition service in the Birmingham, Alabama metro area. The Service includes address assessment, AI rendering generation, architecture and engineering coordination, city permit management, and construction management. Specific scope is defined in a separate written contract signed by both parties before work begins.
Address assessments and AI renderings provided without charge do not constitute a contract for construction services. AnotherStory reserves the right to decline to generate a rendering if the property is not a suitable candidate for a second-story addition.
Construction services are subject to a separate written contract specifying scope, price, timeline, and payment terms. These Terms govern website usage only — the construction contract governs the build itself. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the construction contract, the construction contract controls.
Second-story additions are subject to structural feasibility assessment, city zoning requirements, and HOA review (where applicable). AnotherStory does not guarantee that a project will be permitted or approved. Permit denial is not grounds for a refund of any consultation or assessment fees, unless a written agreement states otherwise.
AI renderings generated for a specific property are provided for the customer's personal use in connection with evaluating the project. Renderings may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without AnotherStory's written consent.
By submitting a lead form or using the chat widget, you consent to being contacted by AnotherStory and its contractors by phone, SMS, and email as described in the TCPA Consent Policy. This consent is logged with a timestamp and your IP address for compliance purposes.
AnotherStory's liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount of fees actually paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim. AnotherStory is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. ANOTHERSTORY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
AnotherStory may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after any update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Jefferson County, Alabama.
